Founder and Principle Teacher

Anna Berryman Bungay Dip.RBS(TC),ARAD,AISTD.

I initially trained as a Classical dancer at the Royal Ballet School, becoming Head Girl in my final year and gaining my teaching diploma in dance which is recognised worldwide. I danced on a UK tour with the company ‘Educating motion Company’ and for several years I belonged to Pineapple Dance Agency who secured me many dance jobs in adverts, TV appearances and exhibitions/events.

I secured my first teaching job in 1998 when Central School of Ballet employed me to re-launch their Junior School.(Children age 5-12 years) Over 5 years of hard work I managed to build the school up to over 140 pupils and choreographed an annual show which they performed at the Lilian Baylis Theatre.

Central also employed me to work with their Senior pupils (18-21 years) on dance teaching skills and working with children.  Alongside this I worked in Nursery schools in Central London teaching baby ballet as well as teaching private dance lessons to many celebrities’ children including Madonnas daughter, Lourdes.

In 1999 Arts Educational School employed me as their Ballet Mistress- teaching daily ballet classes throughout the school from year 7 pupils up to year 11. I entered many students for major RAD ballet exams and organised and choreographed for the Annual Easter Show.

Many of the students I trained have had successful careers and become dancers in companies and West End Shows.  I love to visit the theatre regularly, seeing shows and musicals with my students in.

In 2004 I had my first baby boy and made the huge decision not to continue with the commute into London.    I continued this for 6 years as my family began to expand and I now have 4 beautiful children of my own of which I am very proud!

Which brings me to 2009 when I set up ‘Mini Dance Performers’ at Burhill School which I am also very proud of and has proven to become extremely popular.

The classes consist of fun warm ups to pop music and basic dance techniques. We then learn a group number/dance routine which the children get to perform at some point throughout the year.

I am currently expanding Mini Dance Performers to other schools  and growing the business to share my love of dance with children.  Burhill Primary school, Esher Church School,Grovelands School, Cranmore school, Rowan Prep, Claygate Primary School and Cardinal Newman all offer these classes now!
